I am writing this post as my second response to one of my classmate’s blogs. This time I am commenting on Josh Hotchin’s blog post titled “What is Multimedia and Interactive Learning, and Why is it Important.”  The first thing I noticed about Josh’s blog was the way he embedded his pictures in the post. The images were aligned right or left with the text aligned to the border of the photos; this technique made for an awe-inspiring appearance. I will am excited to utilize this technique in my future posts. I agree with Josh’s opinion about the storytelling article as I enjoyed it myself. Because I know Josh personally, I couldn’t help but smile at his view of the item because he is a very talented storyteller himself. He possesses an exceptional talent for delivering stories to children that is undeniable to anyone who witnesses him in action. Something I wonder about after reading Josh’s post is how the redundancy principle will tie into multimodal learning and teaching because after reading that chapter last night, I have some concerns about my previous opinions surrounding multimodal learning. I noted earlier that Josh discussed the AJ Juliani article “The Hidden Importance of teaching With Stories,” so I will post this link to an informative book I found about using storytelling to teach mathematics.
